Jindo Bridge/ Jindo Tower

The first gate to Jindo, home of stunning landscapes as well as an abundance of delicacies and cultural arts, is Uldolmok Strait, which is better known in Korea as the location of Myeongnyang Battle, one of the three major naval battles where Admiral Yi Sun-sin defeated Japanese warships. Located in the corner of the West Sea, the strait forms a narrow bottleneck between Haenam and Jindo, measuring about 294m wide or about as wide as Han River in Seoul.
